The Ob-Gyn Center, a Hera Women’s Health Center of Excellence, is pleased to welcome Syvette Bethea, WHNP-BC, to our team of women’s health providers. Syvette joined the practice on December 2, 2025, and brings a strong clinical background in high-risk obstetric and gynecologic surgical care.
Education and Training
Syvette earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hawaii Pacific University and her Master of Science in Nursing in Women’s Health from Frontier Nursing University, one of the most respected women’s health nursing programs in the country. She is board-certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Clinical Experience
Syvette began her nursing career at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina, where she worked in an intermediate step-down unit caring for recovering patients in serious condition. She spent the last two and a half years of her time there in the high-risk labor and delivery surgical unit, supporting women before, during, and after obstetric and gynecologic surgeries. That role gave her direct experience with complex pregnancies, surgical recovery, and the full range of acute women’s health care needs.
That background prepares her to support patients across a wide range of services at The Ob-Gyn Center, including routine wellness exams, prenatal care, gynecologic concerns, in-office procedures, and pre- and post-surgical care.
Approach to Patient Care
Syvette focuses on creating an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and well-informed. She prioritizes clear communication, careful listening, and a non-judgmental approach to every visit, with the goal of helping patients feel confident in their care decisions.
Outside the Clinic
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Syvette enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and visiting the beaches of her home state.
