Grace Bommarito, DO, FACOG
Dr. Bommarito knew early on that OB/GYN was her calling. Her mother was a NICU RN, and growing up around that world sparked a love for everything related to labor and delivery. As she continued her medical education, she discovered that OB/GYN allowed her to care for patients through every phase of life, from puberty to pregnancy to perimenopause and beyond.
She is passionate about high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, sex education, social justice, equity, inclusivity, and patient advocacy. Her approach to care is personalized, patient-centered, and collaborative. She wants every patient to know that their needs are unique, their opinions matter, and that she is listening. When discussing diagnoses and treatment options, she focuses on breaking down complex medical information using clear language, visual aids, and models so patients can make confident, informed decisions.
Dr. Bommarito believes that medicine is a team sport. She values the diverse experiences her colleagues bring to the table and never hesitates to seek their input when it means better outcomes for her patients. Her goal is for every patient to leave feeling safe, accepted, understood, and equipped with a plan, even when all the answers aren’t available yet.
Outside of work, Dr. Bommarito enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their two dogs, Kingsley and Eggroll. She loves to travel, swim, kickbox, cook, and knit. She is also an avid Detroit Lions fan.
